Start your day in a relaxed way after a long-haul trip to India. After having breakfast in hotel you
will set for a full-day sightseeing tour in the Indian capital city of Delhi. Overnight stay in hotel.

Accomodation: ITC Welcom Dwarka or similar

DAY 3 Delhi-Chandigarh (by air)- Mashobra (surface) 135 KM (5 ½ hrs.) (B, L, D)

Your mountain expedition will start today. After breakfast, transfer to airport for a flight to
Chandigarh (9W-651H / 9:10–10:35). Upon arrival, a journey to Mashobra will give you glimpses of
picturesque landscape all around. Lunch is arranged on the way.
The journey will take you through the places like Pinjaur, Waknaghat, and Taradevi. You will reach
at the doorstep of Great Himalayan ranges. Mashobra is a small village with an old colonial church
and some pleasant walks among densely populated deodar trees.
Enjoy your evening here upon arrival.

Overnight stay at a family-run property Innayat or Mahsu house (or similar).

DAY 4 Mashobra-Batseri (Surface) / 225 KM (7 ½ hrs.) (B, L, D)

After breakfast, transfer to Batseri by road. The route is via places such as Kufri (ski resort),
Narkanda, Kotgarh, Rampur, Wangtu, Tapri, and Sangla. Lunch is arranged at Rampur, the gateway
of Kinnaur. A nondescript town now, Rampur was once the capital city of Bushahr kings. You can
have a closer look of Satlej on the way and here in this town.
Sangla valley (2680 m)—described as arguably ‘the most beautiful valley in the Himalayas’—has
been kind of a fairy-tale place with wooden houses and slate-roofed temples. It’s a pretty and
pristine place where Baspa flows with its natural grandeur.
You will be staying in Apple Orchard farm and camping – a fine specimen of wonderful camp
staying experience in India.

DAY 5 Stay at Batseri —Local sightseeing-walking tour to kamru Fort- evening Bonfire on bapsa river bank (B, L, D)

After some long stretch of travelling previous days, relax in this place to rejuvenate yourself. Take
brisk walking tour around and go up to Kamru Fort. Only 2 km. from Sangla, village of Kamru is
clinging to a rocky spur and once had been the capital city of Bushahr kingdom. It still gives you
impressionistic features of traditional Kinnauri architecture. The village is dominated by the towerstyle
Kamakhya Devi Fort.
In the evening enjoy a bonfire on riverbed.

Overnight stay at Apple Orchard farm and camping

DAY 6 Excursion to Chitkul (Surface) / 20 KM (1 hr.) (B, L, D)

This day you will travel to Chitkul (3450 m)—popularly known as the last Indian village—which is,
historically, used to be the last stop on the old trade route to Tibet. The road from Batseri to Chitkul
goes through Rakcham (3050 m) Wildlife Sanctuary.
Even quieter than Sangla, Chitkul is a laid-back place with a spectacular view and ambience. An
outdoor picnic will be arranged here on the bank of river and under open blue sky. Spend the entire
exploring the place and nearby village. By evening, return to Batseri.

Overnight stay at Apple Orchard farm and camping

DAY 7 Batseri-Kalpa (Surface) / 60 KM (2 ½ hrs.) (B, L, D)

After breakfast transfer to Kalpa (2960 m). The road goes through Karcham, Powari, and Rekong
Peo. Travel through this stretch is hair-raising experience though the surrounding view so
wonderful and engaging you will feel the worth of visiting this place.
Kalpa is one of the most peaceful villages in Kinnaur and you can have an unobstructed view of
Kinnaur Kailash and Jorkanden peak from here. A brisk walk through surrounding orchards and
forest, and wandering the narrow cobbled streets are very refreshing.

Overnight stay in Hotel Grand Sambala, Kalpa

DAY 8 Local sightseeing at Kalpa (B, L, D)

According to legend, Kalpa had been the winter residence for Lord Shiva. There are some
interesting Kinnauri-style temples in Narayan-Nagini Temple complex. You can see a very
impressive and colourful Buddhist temple at the top of the village as well.
In Kalpa, you will venture out for a walking tour in Roghi village. The tiny village has a gorgeous
temple with mixed motifs from both Hindu and Buddhist trends. There are references of Pagan
rituals and beliefs on temple walls, wooden doors, etc.
Post lunch, set for a visit to Kalpa monastery.

Overnight stay at Hotel Grand Sambala

DAY 9 Local sightseeing at Kalpa (B, L, D)

Post breakfast, entire day will be spent in various outdoor activities, like walking tour in Pungi
village, moderate trekking, and a visit to apple orchards. If you’re a photography enthusiast, it’s a
perfect place to dabble with your gears.

Overnight stay at Hotel Grand Sambala

DAY 10 Kalpa-Narkanda (Surface) / 175 KM. (6 ½ hrs.) (B, L, D) en route RAMPUR

After breakfast, transfer to Narkanda (2708 m). Lunch is arranged on the way at Rampur. Generally
a small, quite brief-stop place Narkanda turns into an Indian ski resort between January and March.
Depending on available time in hand, you may explore Hatu peak (highest point of Shimla district at
an altitude of nearly 12000 ft. from sea-level) and Hatu temple.

Overnight stay at Tethys Ski Resort

DAY 11 Narkanda-Chandigarh (Surface) / 170 KM. (7 hrs.) (B, L)

Witness a gorgeous sunrise from Narkanda (subject to weather condition and other factors). Post
breakfast, start your return journey to Chandigarh.
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and check-in. Rest of the time on your own (Optional – if time
permits, you can venture for brief shopping spree for which the city is quite known).
